Learning and Development at NESN

We not only care about scheduling company events that are guaranteed to add some fun to your day, but we take the time to building out opportunities for employees to develop their personal and professional skills.

Lunch & Learns: Our Human Resources team plans quarterly Lunch & Learns to give NESN employees the chance to not only learn about an array of topics (Social media! Unconscious bias! Remote work!), but the Lunch & Learn sessions are actually hosted by NESN employees, providing a great way for people to develop their presentation skills.

Shadowing Program: The shadowing program is one of the best ways to increase your industry knowledge! Whether you want to shadow Finance to get a better understanding of forecasting, Traffic to see how much attention to detail is required to prevent a repeating commercial or Programming & Production to see how many things come together to air one game, Human Resources is there to help everyone from interns to full-time employees learn from one another.

LinkedIn Learning: Each full-time employee at NESN is given access to our company LinkedIn Learning account on their first day of work. LinkedIn Learning has more than 13,000 courses for our employees to view, and we even offer a quarterly competition to see who can watch the most videos (we’re in sports – we have to make everything a friendly competition!).

External Speakers: NESN enjoys bringing in enthusiastic, knowledgeable speakers to share their experiences with us. Valerie Gordon of Commander-in-She has taught us how to build our personal brand and Martellus Bennett has shared how we can support diversity in media, just to name a few!
